RE: Begging for change and doing the work

This has been socially done before from various perspectives and degrees, but where they all fell short was in the economic aspects - the movements were always begging for those who held economy to allow change. When the new movements have their self-sustaining and owned economy - the participants can be the change and make it stick.

We CAN be the change and the instruments of change. I really don't believe in luck but I certainly believe in work to maximize my chances.

It is time that we stop acting like beggars asking for change on the street - and start being the change we need to be for ourselves. We hold far more cards to our future than we realize, we just have to do the pre-work.

Yes. And we need to realize there are no good cards or bad. Dolly Brunson won his last World Series of Poker (his 4th spread across 40 years I think) with a pair of 3s. Not the cards you'd ask for when 10 million is at stake. We all have the cards we need, just need to figure out how to play them.

My very best wishes to you and yours in this very hard time of mourning and loss. No matter the circumstances it's a hard time and yours seem more than normally difficult. Maybe even to the point of being called bad luck.

I think there is luck, but sometimes it looks like hard work coming to fruition, since that is the precondition. Sometimes, right place at the right time, falls into the right hands.

I have this silly fantasy from when I was a kid that when I die, I would get a read out of all the stats of my life. I wonder if that would include a view of the perfect game played.

I am lucky. I had a good dad who had a good life. A hard life perhaps, but that might have been what made him a good dad.
