Hi @mintymile

Thank you for sharing link to your publication. It's already a bit to old to upvote it :(

I'm not very familiar with solar energy technology and it's potential benefits, so I found it very informative to read your article.

In the Indian State of UP, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) assisted by India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) has partnered with Power Ledger to try out this technology

I'm a bit confused. I've been always convinced that India is against anything related to crypto and blockchain.

ps. your post partly sounded like solid advertisement. Are you somehow connected with powerledger.io?

Yours, Piotr

Thanks for reading my post @crypto.piotr. Even I was surprised that an Indian State has approved this blockchain policy but this is what I think -:

Indian Government was only against crypto and not blockchain technology, they have said this several times. However, they are not able to make dealing in cryptos illegal and that may never be possible, with China and other countries looking to build their own digital currency using blockchain technology.

Second, it may be also because our Prime Minister, Mr Modi, has told he is going to implement solar energy technology, renewable energy. Lots of electricity consumption is required for the population, and I think lot of population at rural areas don't have electricity amenity. So to meets that target of electricity the Government led by him looking to implement solar energy technology for electricity.

It sounds good, but nah... there is talk that farmers and poor voiceless people are displaced for some big solar farms, and even in big Cities like where I am in Bangalore, I have not seen any solar energy powered flats, even elite areas, I am sure it's same with COrporate offices.

As for advertising...ha!!! ... I may have over done things a bit, even then Power Ledger has been my pick to invest money now, because solar energy and blockchain technology are emerging technologies so investing in this project that's already being adopted I felt is good investment for future.

And who knows, maybe in future in my home and neighbourhood there will be solar energy power facilitated by Power ledger's echnology, looks likely if it's getting popular and well known and stuff.

It's a big question if Indian Government will tone down their crypto animosity now that they only looking towards these projects that have some token, which is like a crypto currency somewhat.

It's good news, coz this shows to me Indian government , may sometime look to regulate crypto. I will be happy if they don't ban it, I don't care about the rest.
