I am quite convinced that the ancestors of these spiders came with UFO which crashed on earth millions of years ago! Their great great great great great grand-parents survived and propagated till resulted in present day spiders!!

:D They arrived in the space cocoon, a silky spaceship ... these first spiders were technologically very advanced ... but here on Earth they abandoned all that, got much smaller and diversified in many species ... that use only webs for hunting, no more space travels and stuff like that.
