So, it is the heat of reaction due to the burning that brings about the hotness. Interesting. I also get to know that blue flame is an indication of complete combustion while red flame indicates the presence of incomplete combustion. Thanks for educating me!

you're welcome bro.., yes the blue flame is the hottest one and indicate of complement combustion.
FYI if you find out that your gas stove has no blue flame one day, then it would be mean your gas stove is broken..
Yes, I agree. I had to go and give my burner to a technician when the flame was anything but blue.
