Kudos for the well-researched article as usual. Birds are generally considered to be indicator species in ecology and a decline in their diversity has raised a major concern about the health of the ecosystem. Unfortunately, very little is being done to stem the tide. I just hope the doomsday will not be in our generation.

Thank you! Can you imagine the fun I had looking at beautiful birds as I did my research? There's even a video of the Secretary Bird stomping a snake to death. I thought that was too gruesome to include.
I appreciate your comments. I hope articles like this will help to raise awareness so that doomsday will be something written about in science fiction stories.
You are welcome. We all hope there will not be any doomsday, but the capitalist governments and their cohorts think it is just a farce. They will rather seek to relocate to another planet
