Seems you got a good deal. I really do not know much about Asus products but I bet an HP with similar spec will cost significantly more. My experience with PC tells me to stick to HP as far as the Nigerian clime is concerned. The problem starts when you need replacement parts and discover that they are not cosmopolitan.

HP would definitely cost more. Asus is quite common these days so I hope it won't be as hard finding replacement parts.
