It's definitely the new normal in more ways then one. But video conferencing is saving money and time for plenty of people. So I don't see this changing.

It is also a quality of life thing. People do not like sitting in traffic, having to get up earlier to leave, and miss interaction with their kids.
Working from home changes a lot of this.
