Climate change is definitely a game changer here. We already observe a lot of local changes by just the conditions usual for one place moving to another place. I like to say that usually, the future looks bright. But here, it does not...

Thanks for sharing this information with us!

Cheers!

Greetings dear @lemouth, thank you for leaving your valuable opinion about it, I can say that previously the teaching methods of agriculture were based on the use of technological packages depending on the type of crop, At present, it is no secret that excessive use of these methods has deteriorated the biodiversity of agricultural systems in addition to significantly influencing climate change.

At present the productive model is based on knowing the natural processes, it could be said that it is the traditional agriculture of our ancestors but with the scientific touch that influence certain phenomena in food production, In other words, we adapt to what is now known as sustainable development.

So long, have a great week.

Thanks for coming back to me. I however wonder whether our adaptation is fast enough. I am not very sure about it, but this cannot be answered. Only the future will tell...

Cheers!

Hello friend, certainly the future is uncertain and only time will tell how far we will advance in the agricultural field, In order to make progress, extension programs must be carried out to convince the producer that these new technologies are appropriate according to the context in which we find ourselves. The producers have a kind of blockade for lack of information and they cling to other methods, it is something cultural so to speak. When we started with the electric fence to delimit the forage areas, many producers in my country refused to use them, but then, they were educated about it and settled in several farms with some trials and began to massify said method.

Education plays a determining factor and agrarian universities have the responsibility through the extension of socializing the research carried out by their researchers and not cloistered in libraries.

So long, greetings and successes !

I fully agree with the points you raised. Education plays the determining role and with time, mentalities will change. The good thing is that we have examples of the past in which this happened and worked for the best. Then maybe we will get there faster.
