Maths Brain Teasers 38:: Can You Decode iT?- Solved with Explanation

image.png

I did like to echo the detailed answer provided by @quinnertronics; check out the easy explanation here::

X = 24 ÷ 2 = 12 = L

R = 18 ÷ 3 = 6 = F

P = 16 ÷4 = 4 = D

Following is the Step-Step instruction to solve the Maths Brain Teasers 38:: Can You Decode iT?

  • Step 1 For Each Row; divide the numerical value of the left-hand letter by the number in the center column

For example, let's take the first row as an example::

image.png

X is the 24th Alphabet

then we have 2 the center column number; used for division such that;

24/12 = 12

L the letter L has the twelth position in Alphabets

Let's take the Row in Question NOW::

image.png

P is the 16th Alphabet

then we have 4 the center column number; used for division such that;

16/4 = 4

D the letter D has the FOURTH position in Alphabets

Hence the ANswer to the Maths Brain Teasers 38:: Can You Decode iT? is D

I believe the answer is 4. The sequence follows a -2 + 1 sequence.

It’s answer is 4.

It follows a sequence of subtraction of 2 followeed by adding 1.

Thus, (9)-2=(7)+1=(8)-2=(6)+1=(7)-2=(5)+1=(6)-2=4.

oh, what a nice surprise, thanks a lot! :))

For today, I agree with the other comments: it follows the -2 -> +1 -> -2 -> +1 ... sequence so the next number in the sequence should be 4.
