I always laughed at the thought of aliens. It annoys my son, he has always believed that there is life out there . . . somewhere. I used to tell him what if there isn't any intelligent, advanced life out there? What if the earth is the planet of origin and in the entire universe intelligent life begins here?

While the universe is billions of years old scientists tell us in cosmic terms it is very young in its evolution stages. I saw a mathematician once that proved numerically that life could not exist on other planets because the odds of intelligent life randomly forming from cosmic goo was the equivalent to a single person winning the Powerball lottery in the United States 100 times IN A ROW! I gamble sometimes so I understand odds and that is an astronomical (pardon the pun) figure right there.

Of course on the other hand they may all be fighting a galactic battle against some interstellar evil we don't even know about in which they are too concerned with their own survival to care about some other life form they never heard of in the vast regions of space.

Either way, I'm not expecting any little green men to land in my backyard anytime soon. 😎

I'm honestly not either, but if it does happen I am not going to be as shocked as the people who don't believe in them.
