I can associate with your comment that telescopes are harder to use than they seem. I got my daughter one when she was 14 or 15. It always took so long to find what we wanted to see that the telescope lost favor quickly. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, that was pretty much it. Mine had a special stand to help you find things, but it was so complex that you spent more time trying to figure it out than actually looking at things.
