Welcome to all those members of the #hive platform, as usual my publications are aimed at the application of chemical concepts in aspects of our daily lives, content that I have been sharing with the community of @stemsocial, @stem-espanol and @cervantes where I can provide foundations according to my academic background. However, the scientific advances in environmental care, is a subject that I am passionate about and I have been attentive and informed about it.

Therefore it is my duty as an academic, to contribute from the conceptual, procedural and attitudinal so that more users are aligned on issues of environmental care, so the community @ecotrain, is the place where we can know the position of different members who are part of this team and are providing key ideas associated with sustainability, sustainable development and living in harmony with the environment.

Without a doubt, the advances in chemistry and the different applications that we as individuals have given to its foundations, have allowed us to improve the quality of life of societies, an aspect that we can observe in transport, housing, health, technological advances, among others.

However, there are also many problems that we have caused to the environment, and which are linked to the action of chemistry. In this sense, this research is directed to describe chemically the aspects of pollution generated in the city of New Delhi, capital of India, where pollution levels are so drastic that represents one of the main problems of death of the city.

Where air pollution, the greenhouse effect, global overheating, interact daily and cause great damage in this population, which records pollution levels that are 10 times above the values that are considered safe for humanity, damage that not only affects citizens, but compromises the balanced action that should have the environment and all because of the economic and social welfare as an individual we demand.

Chemically, the city is trapped in a bubble where greenhouse gases are wreaking havoc on the health of the population. The industrial activity, the combustion of the cars, the burning of the land used for the plantations inject daily quantities of dioxide and carbon monoxide into the air, being trapped at the troposphere level and causing an excessive heating of the area, generation of photochemical smog, acid rain that gradually degrade the vegetation and the biosphere of the planet.

In this way, the covid-19 has presented itself under its own wingspan and where it apparently came to punish a society and to restore the carrying capacity of the planet. After the action of the governments and the motto stay at home, it has allowed the contamination levels of the city to drop drastically to figures that according to experts in the field were considered improbable.

The forced shutdown of industrial activities, the poor circulation of automobiles and the halted construction works have allowed pollution levels to drop significantly, registering concentrations of 46 milligrams of fine particles per cubic meter, although the value is still high, an encouraging improvement has been noted in the air quality breathed in the city after the arrival of covid-19.

Dear reader, if you have reached this point in your reading it is to be assumed that there is a marked concern in you about the environmental problems affecting the planet, however, it is my duty to inform you that by worrying we do not gain anything, the idea is to take care of ourselves and take measures that will allow us to continue advancing in the restoration of the biotic systems of our planet. We must remember the approaches associated with Sustainable Development, the idea is to meet our needs, respecting the right of future generations to coexist harmoniously with the planet.

@madridbg excellent approach, air pollution is the ideal fuel, to ignite the emergence of new viruses. Thanks for sharing these lines with chemical orientations, every day we are surprised by new perceptions which are learned from the theoretical, the key is to apply it in the daily work. Congratulations, good contribution.

Greetings @lupafilotaxia thanks to the review made to my publication, no doubt we humans are the main threat to our planet, it is inconceivable that only in times of crisis and difficulties we give the necessary time for our planet to breathe and self-regulate their ecosystems. We continue reading
