Hive Power Up Day - June 1st 2022

The Hive Power Up Day (PUD) is taking place on the first day of every month and the next one will occur in a few days, on June 1st.

The Hive Power Up Day is a good opportunity to have fun while strengthening powering up your account. HiveBuzz allows you to collect Power-bee badges if you participate in the Hive Power Up Day and you may win Hive Power delegation from the other sponsors of this initiative.

1. The Power-Bees levels

The more HIVE you power-up on Power Up Day, the bigger your power-bee.

And here is how the levels are distributed:
Level 1 - Power up at least 10 HIVE
Level 2 - Power up at least 50 HIVE
Level 3 - Power up at least 100 HIVE
Level 4 - Power up at least 500 HIVE
Level 5 - Power up at least 1000 HIVE

2. The Power-Up Helper

The Power-Up Helper badge allows you to get one more badge when helping others to power-up.

TLDR; Get rewarded for the help you provide! By helping others to power up, you are showing everyone how mutual support is an important concept within the Hive community.

You can collect one PUH badge each year, which will generate a major leverage effect on the size of our Hive Power delegations to you.

If you participate in the Power Up Month challenge too, the more PUH badge you have, the more important the Hive Power delegation you can receive from us. Those who have already obtained it in previous years therefore already have a significant advantage.

How to get your Power Up Day badge?

  1. You will have to power up HIVE on the 1st day of the month.

    IMPORTANT:
    HiveBuzz will use UTC date and time to validate when your powered-up. Therefore, check your timezone and convert your local time to UTC before powering up! To help you not miss the moment when you can do your power-up, we added a countdown to our website.

  2. Power up at least 10 HIVE. This will entitle you to the smallest power-bee. The more HIVE you power up, the bigger your power-bee!

  3. You don't have to power them up in one step. All the Hive powered up will be counted together at the end of the day.

Strictly follow these rules and this badge will be on your board!

The badges will be distributed to all successful participants at the end of the Power Up Day.

Why participate in the Hive PUD

The first reason is to have fun and get a badge!

And here are some other great reasons to power up your HIVE:

  • Strengthen your influence on the blockchain with stronger votes on content, proposals and witnesses.
  • Earn more curation rewards. The more Hive Power you have, the more you can potentially earn back
  • Earn "interest" by holding Hive Power. You will also earn HIVE passively at about 3% per year of what you currently have powered up so the more HIVE you have, the more you can earn from just holding!

okay you have to write and publish the post on the first of the month where you are posting from. So basically I would write it now, I am not sure where you are located, I am in the UK so it is 9pm and I have three hours left to write and publish, I better get moving!

okay
try to take a screen shot of you hp before you power up, and then after you power. Include a bit of text that you power up whatever amount from the start to finish etc.
You can make reference to traci's article and the one from hivebuzz, mention this is your first pud, and perhaps your goals for hive and how you are finding things.
Make sure you use the correct tags, as that is how you post will be found and name put into the competition.
You can write whatever you like really, just mention it is a PUD post and the amount you are powering up etc.
As long as you have the tags and the amount you power up and make it plain it is a power up day post then that is the minimum you need, so just add a bit more. If you search the tags you can find some examples, but don't worry about it too much. You can say you joined hive on such and such date, you have seen you account grow by x amount per week or month. Do you use any of the stats sites?

Good initiative, but I must admit that currently, I am not powering up, but I am rather saving HBD.
