It makes no sense. Charging takes way to long. With 6 kg of H2 the avg SUV can drive up to 900KM.

Besides electrolytes burn, there is a way to burn directly into the engine. So it would also have a synergy to current engines.

Overall really weird decision-making by those companies. The only thing they do if they try to make EVs is promote tesla. IMO a huge bubble (76 times earnings or something like that?).
