In my opinion monthly prompt is quite suitable with the work required to create a quality post which has been gone through research and references. Collecting references in not an easy task because it also requires to study the referred material along with comparative study.
Off-topic post should be acceptable if it provides health related material, you can even accept tags in your community related to medical post in order to find people actively writing medical posts.
Rewards should be introduced for those who participate in the contest, you'll get more quality posts this way. To collect funds for rewards, you can even set a rule to contribute 10-20% post rewards towards community account, this will make you self sufficient in preparing nice rewards for winners.
We appreciate your words of wisdom here. We ll consider these options and we are assure of lasting result.
