XP PEN Deco Pro S

So, I brought a new digital graphics drawing tablet The XP Pen Deco Pro with all the savings that I had on HIVE. I'm very thankful to HIVE because without Hive I could never afford a graphics drawing tablet that is this expensive. I really like the drawing tablet and I think this drawing tablet needs to be known among all the digital artists who are willing to enter into digital arts at a beginner level as well as a moderate level. If you are going for professional-level artwork, then I would recommend you to buy a Wacom Indus Pro or an iPad.

UNBOXING

What's inside the box?

INSIDE THE BOX.jpg

So inside the box you will get the 1 drawing tablet, 1 XP Pen case withstand at the top, 1 PA1 Pen, Type C cable,1 micro USB and Type C OTG, some paper works like warranty and quick start guide and the Drawing glove

At the top of the Pen case, you will find 8 Pen nibs for the PA1 pen and the bottom part is used for holding the pen.

The nibs can be purchased separately from their official website for COD or Online payment. The link for purchasing the XP pen nibs is given below. 1 nib will cost around 50Rs

Deco Pro Scratch Guard

Drawing area

da.jpg

So the drawing area on this tablet is 9x5 inches and it is considerably larger than most of the small drawing tablets. I think the smalls working area will be more than enough for anyone out there. The area shown in green is the actual working is the rest of it can be used for placing your hand while drawing.

The active area in the tablet represents the entire screen of your monitor.

The Deco Pro Small's size can be compared to other Drawing tablets Medium size. So, If you are planning to buy the medium size then also keep in mind that you need a larger space on the table for placing it close to your laptop or android

8191 Pressure levels!, Really?

The company claims it has over 8192 Pressure levels but in reality, I think it is more like a marketing strategy to attract customers in reality I felt like it was alike and I was able to find out that 1-1000 pressure level is almost impossible to take even a slight touch with the pen on the surface will give a pressure value between 1000-3000 range and if you want to go for the pressures which are in between 1-1000 will be impossible.

If you ask me does it work while drawing?. the answer is yes it works. The more pressure you apply, the much darker the lines get

Custom Buttons and Mechanical/Virtual Wheels

So this graphics tablet has 10 customisable options and can be customized to any key combination/key on the keyboard. setting macro is available on this tablet

I think, what makes this Graphics Tablet So special compared to other tablets at this price range is that it has these mechanical and virtual wheels which can be customised to your preference. It makes drawing, painting and also workflow so easy.

Drawing Test

While drawing with this tablet, I didn't face any issues with it. The workflow was superb because of the Custom buttons and the wheels. I was able to adjust the brush sizes really fast by turning the wheels and that made it very easy while painting the drawing.

Conclusion

I think the XP Pen Deco Pro Small is the best option if you are planning to buy a graphics tablet under 100 dollar or under 7500rs. I brought it from Flipkart on bigbillion day sale for 6599rs and for that money I think I got a good deal and I'm really happy with the purchase. I also want to thank Hive communities like LMAC, OCD, and Geekzone for supporting my work on Hive. Actually without Hive I could have never afford a graphics tablet like this.
