Hey, Hive community!

I couldn't hold back my thoughts on this one. I want to expose my feelings/thoughts about a soaring threat to our air quality. It was already approved in Europe (see this here: https://www.flyingmag.com/lilium-receives-easa-design-organization-approval-for-electric-air-taxi/). Recently, there's been this buzz about Lilium getting the green light from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for their electric air taxi design. Now, don't get me wrong; innovation is fantastic, but let's talk about the real issue — air quality affecting our lungs and health overall.
Strap in, because this one's got me fired up.

"Are we dreamers? Or are we dancers?" - Dreams vs. Reality
Tired Good Night GIF by Holler Studios

We've all had this dreamy notion of flying cabs, zipping through the skies, taking in that "fresh air." But let's get real. The picture-perfect scenario of crisp, clean air is more like a mirage. Are we considering the pollution these flying cabs might bring to the skies we're so eager to conquer?

Not a Trilemma BUT The Regulation Dilemma

Sure, Lilium's EASA approval is a feather in their cap, but what about regulations addressing the environmental impact?
It's a race for innovation, but are we sprinting towards a future where we breathe in compromised air?
I'm all for progress, but not at the cost of our health and the environment.

Let's face it! There Will Be Lots of Pollution in the Skies

Flying taxis at higher altitudes means dispersing pollutants where they haven't been a significant concern before.
Is it about the views from above?!???
No! Let's wake up!
It's a serious matter of what we're inhaling. What's the point of escaping ground-level pollution if we're just pushing it higher?
Carbon credits in Europe started to have a lot of regulations, but I thought they were designed to minimize risk not to add to it, and to monetize more on that!

Danging! Health Hazards

Let's not gloss over the health risks. People working near takeoff and landing zones might be breathing in more than they bargained for. What happens when we're exposed to these pollutants long-term?
I'm not a fan of turning a blind eye to potential health hazards.

EASA Approval: Cheers or Jeers? 👏😭

Lilium's EASA nod is like a double-edged sword. It's progress, no doubt. But are we sacrificing thorough environmental checks for the sake of being at the forefront of innovation?
I'm all for flying taxis, but not at the expense of our air quality and health.

Let's gain better optics Now: Fresh Air's True Cost

We're sold the dream of "fresh air" up there, but what's the real cost? Breathing in the skies might become a luxury, but not in a good way.
It's time to question what we're willing to compromise for the convenience of flying taxis. Is the trade-off worth it?

A Call for Eco-Friendly Alternatives I Love You Christmas GIF by Chippy the Dog

I'm no eco-warrior, but can we please put the environment on the priority list? The flying cab industry needs to embrace eco-friendly alternatives and tech that don't turn our skies into a pollution haven.
It's about time we consider sustainability as more than just a buzzword.

The Power of Our Voice

Hive community, we're not just spectators, I think... we're WEB3.0 influencers/d-fluencers.
Raising awareness about the potential risks is crucial. Let's shift our optics from curbing innovation to steering it responsibly. Our collective voice can push for regulations that ensure our skies remain clear in every sense. I trust Hive that much!

Hello! Anyone?! Corporate Accountability

Lilium and other players in the game, you're not off the hook! Corporate responsibility isn't just a fancy phrase. It's high time these companies acknowledge their role in shaping our future. Let's see more transparency, environmental assessments, and actions that align with a greener tomorrow.

▶️▶️▶️In Closing: What's Your Take?

Alright, Hive community, I've poured out my thoughts on this flying cab saga. Now, I want to hear from you.
What's your take on the potential risks to air quality?
Are we sacrificing too much for the thrill of flying taxis, or is this the price of progress?
Let's kick off a discussion because our opinions matter in shaping the narrative.
Comment below and let's hash it out!

Thank you!
