The Pros and Cons of Knowing Your Future Through Technology
Science and technology have taken over the world with loads of mind-blowing inventions and devices that have changed the narrative of how things are done, and seeing all of their impact, we can't help but say science has been a blessing to humanity. So given human nature of always wanting to know what the future has in store for them, if scientists were to make a device that can predict the future, would it be a good thing or not? Also, would I be getting such a device so I can know my future, or would you boycott it and let life take its natural course without me spying on what would be? In this article I'll be stating my opinion on these and many more aspects surrounding the prompt.

To be honest, having a device that can tell one's future is exciting and a blessing in many ways, from the fact that it helps us focus our time and energy on things that'll yield results to helping us avoid things that we would have naturally delved into had we not known what the future holds, only for us to find out it's a waste of time and that they're not relevant in making us have the kind of future we desire. So with all of these and several other reasons, a device that can tell the future seems like a must-have for everyone who wants to cut down the need to roam around earth aimlessly when you don't know what to expect from something you're giving your all. Having such a device will help you know the end of something before you even begin, and this goes on to help us make the right decision.
So will I be buying such a device, assuming they exist? My answer is yes, I would. Frankly speaking, looking back at my life and some of the steps I've taken, I can't help but regret some of the places I went, the things I invested my time, energy, and money into, and the unpleasant or unpalatable results that followed those steps. And I can't help but reflect on the fact that had I had such a device prior to those moments, I wouldn't have taken those steps, and that would automatically mean I wouldn't have experienced the disappointment, loss, and pain that followed those decisions. And that's why I'm saying that I'll absolutely want to get the devices that can tell the future.
Since I said I'll be buying the devices, then automatically I'll definitely be using them, or what's the point of buying them if I have no use for them? So I'll definitely use it to know what the future has in store for every single step and decision I'm about to take, and having it will definitely help me make the right decision since it'll help me know what will end well and what will end otherwise.

Talking about the consequences of such decisiveness, I don't think there's much, except for the fact that it'll prevent people from taking risks or experiencing life to the fullest; it'll also kill the joy and excitement that comes from the suspense of not knowing how things will end. And most of all I think it'll hinder people's ability to gain experience and lessons that come from loss, pain, disappointment, and the like since they'll often tend to use the devices to know what won't end well and avoid them completely.

Truly, knowing the future would ensure that people get to stay clear the pain and disappointment that lies in the future
Hmmm, truly it's tempting ooo, considering your points yes I won't hesitate to buy it but I think I'll consciously nurture some fears of not building resilience and life experiences as you mentioned as well. But such device will be a game changer
