Telepathy as Communication: A Dream, A Risk, and A Possible Reality

Through the years, humans keep evolving and making mind-blowing improvements in the areas of science and technology that improve lives and reduce the amount of workload we used to indulge in. Amongst all of these improvements is the area of communication, where we've evolved from having to travel miles to deliver a message to someone in the distance, writing letters and the like, to now having a world where you can send instant messages to people without any form of barriers. These improvements are already seen as impressive, but what would they be called if such evolution got to the point where we could communicate telepathically? In this article I'll be stating my take on these and everything that revolves around them.

In all honesty, I'll be blown away by the kind of technology that'll make communication go beyond the need for a device to just communicate with anyone you want to in mind, and that's because it actually sounds impossible, but then, given the innovation we've seen in time past, I can't necessarily say anything is impossible because some of the things we've seen and use presently were once deemed impossible, and so for that reason I think I'll actually like the innovation of telepathic communication, especially because I'm an introvert who doesn't like to go out much, and with such possibilities, my need to go out will drastically reduce as I can literally communicate with anyone I want via my mind.

Also, I love the idea because it'll reduce the need for physical devices. I mean, what's the point of a phone if you can communicate with anyone or any platform you want via your mind? And with these developments, there will be fewer situations of low battery or poor network concern, since our minds don't necessarily need to be charged by electricity before they can function properly, and one can seamlessly also communicate with people you desire to talk to regardless of if you have their number or not, which is kind of a good thing in a way.

Despite how awesome telepathic communication sounds, it's worth noting that it has some downsides, one of which is the fact that all you have to do is think of someone and your message will be passed across to them. Such can lead to some people receiving tons of messages that can pose a threat to their mental well-being. Take for instance, many people will want to communicate with their favorite celebrities. Do you know how enormous the messages would be and how such would affect them? Given the fact that each new message will keep interfering with what they're doing.

That's not to forget the health risk such would pose, because I believe for such a technology to work, then a chip or device would need to be implanted into our brain. Such a chip could have terrible side effects that can endanger our health and cause serious illnesses such as cancer and the like, so while it seems like a great innovation, unless the majority of these concerns can be rectified, then I'll just not want to be a part of it, but if they can be fixed, then why not? because it's one way to have a private conversation without fear of having it intercepted or hacked.

I really had to imagine the part of those celebrities and it will indeed be problematic for them especially with all these die hard fans that doesn't know when and where to stop.
The innovation would be something I'll love too if all side effects like you've mentioned are fixed cos I love my serious conversations been private and secure without the fear of someone eavesdropping or being recorded for any bad manipulating purpose
