Technology in 2050: A Blessing or a Curse?

Through the years, humans have continuously worked hard on improving the technology innovation used in their day-to-day lives, and as time goes by, we've come to see how mind-blowing the improvement and impact of technology in our world is, making almost everything seamless and taking a peek into the future in the year 2050. I for now believe things would have even improved further in the areas of technology, and we'll most likely by then see some things in use that today seem impossible to achieve or comprehend.

Humans are naturally explorers who continuously want to get better and yarn for more, and with that, I believe in the near future our curiosity will drive us towards accomplishing far more than we ever think we could have. In the technology aspect, as a focal point, I believe things would certainly improve to the point where it would bring both good and bad to the people.

Take, for instance, one of the improvements I believe we'll see in the areas of artificial intelligence. Today we already have them, and they're being used to accomplish a lot, but I know there's still room for improvement, and in the near future, I know loads of devices and mechanisms will be embedded with artificial intelligence, leading them to help aid humans uses of such devices and as well leading such devices to be able to adapt to each individual user's preferences, be it in cars, smart homes, health care, and the like.

I also believe that by the year 2050 robotic and human assistance aid, in our presence world we've robots being introduced gradually into our world in different sectors, and one thing I believe is that in the near future this would have improved to the point where we'll have robotics like humans that can be programmed to do basic house chores and assistants within a place; take, for instance, robots made and programmed to assist our elderly people. While this sounds great, it'll also lead to people losing their jobs, especially caregivers.

Still in the area of improvement in technology in the year 2050, I believe that by then, sadly, we'll have had loads of automated, technologically driven robotic armies, automated fighter jets, and weapons that will make war seamless and be led from the comfort of a military base and the like, while their means will reduce the numbers of lives lost in the camp of those who started the fight, which seems good. It also means if such were to happen, it'll be difficult to know who led such automated drones or fighter jets to wage war against your country.

Overall, while technology is good and promises to help us solve most of our problems, it's worth noting that it has its downside. If used for the wrong course, and so we as people should make sure we only make and improve them in positive aspects that'll make life a safe heaven for everyone.

While all of the above listed seems good, it's worth noting that it'll aid a lot of things and make our job delivery faster, accurate, and seamless; however, it'll also lead to loss of jobs, as most organizations will rather want to have an efficient robot to perform jobs for their in places such as production factories, caregiving, receptionists, and the like, so this would have a two-sided impact on humans, which is positive and negative.

And this might lead to humans revolting against such and leading to insurgency against technology gadgets, robots, and the like. My take might also be inspired by some movies I watch that are true to delve into the future of technology, but then I think it's a possibility, so everyone should find ways of improving themselves, learning the latest skills, and taking technology courses that'll make them relevant at all times.

By 2050 I will be 80 years old, and I only hope that at that point I can have a dignified and peaceful old age, with access to health and food services. I hope that the governments and policies of the countries have advanced enough to protect the elderly and those who have given their lives to achieve all those advances. I honestly don't think that will happen, but I'm still a dreamer. And another question I ask myself is if Hive will exist by 2050, where it will be, and what will have happened to BTC and this entire blockchain. It will be very interesting to see what happens in a few years from now.

Wow that's amazing, 80 by then, I didn't think about what age I'll be by then.

But then we can only hope government would have put things to help the elderly by then..

It'll be indeed interesting to see what would be of hive by that point in time, wonder if we'll all still be here, if it's value will have skyrocketed and so on.

Thanks so much for your feedback and sharing your opinion, have a wonderful day.

The bad and good side for me. There will always be a two side of it no matter how good it might seem to us. I can see a 2050 with a lot of advanced technology that will improve and make life better. Hopefully it doesn’t have more of negative effects on our existence.

Yea it's normal for it to have such , and that's why we just need to embrace it and work towards improving the good ones.

I also see more automation and AI in our life, and I agree with you many people will lose their jobs =( for that I don't know how we can solve this problem.

People losing their jobs drastically by then seems like a difficult thing to control and I keep wondering if this invention was designed to dominate humans or serve us
Finger crossed
Like u said, acquiring the latest skill to remain relevant is not negotiable.

Majorly I see it as aiding humans than dominating.
The only thing that seems like a downside is how many people would be able to afford it, if everyone can afford it, then it'll be a valuable asset that helps us perform most of our takes , giving us round to indulge in more fun activities and family bonding.
