A World Without Technology: How Would Humans Survive?

Technology has been the driving force behind human evolution and growth through the years, and to be honest, it has been a blessing to lives and how we do things. Some of the benefits of technology span across aspects such as transportation, communication, education, entertainment, and the world economy, to name but a few. Seeing how impactful technology has been to humanity, even though it has some downsides, we can't help but recognize the fact that without technology, life would be really difficult, but it's worth knowing that it'll not be the end of the world; we've lived without it before, so it's actually possible.

Can I really imagine a world without technology? Yes, I actually can, and it's going to be a world that's filled with lots of activities, manpower, and effort to get everything done, especially from the perspective of someone who has enjoyed the benefits of technology; life would feel miserable. Take, for instance, for transport, you'll need to either walk or ride on horses, donkeys, or camels to travel or move from one destination to another. You can't even use horse chariots because they're considered to be an ancient technology, and we're talking about a world without technology.

Education would be more difficult; human evolution would be quite difficult because our growth and innovation are all a testament to technology. Communication would become quite difficult; people won't be able to communicate with those of different tribes because of the language barrier, unlike how technology devices help us interpret. Not to talk of how we communicate with people from distant places thanks to technology devices like phones; however, in a world without technology, one would need to travel miles just to pass a simple message to people in other places.

Even though I recognize the fact that technology has its downside, like creating a drift in human physical interaction, I know without technology we'll be able to bond more and share more time with one another than we do with technology. Though I love to live a simple life, that doesn't mean I don't want to make use of technology. Take, for instance, the air generated from electrical devices such as fans or AC; without technology, we'll suffer intense heat. I can't help but imagine myself washing my clothes with my hands again even since I purchased a washing machine; Those are one of the benefits of technology and why life without it would be strange.

I don't think I can last a month without technology, with the rate at which we've become so attached and dependent on it; in fact, I'd most likely lose my job as a teacher because the subject I teach is associated with technology, being a computer studies teacher. Technology is also instrumental in my second stream of income, so not only will I lose all my means of income, but millions of people will do the same, and this will crumble the world economy and put many in abject poverty and struggle to survive the harsh reality of a world that requires you to do everything with your strength and consume your time.
