They just kind of forget about real science at the production level. Who cares about real science if it isn't fantastic enough to wow our audiences? Dinosaurs will never be recreated, there isn't enough intact DNA. They are having a hard enough time with the Wooly Mammoth due to degradation, but surprisingly have gotten enough from enough specimens they are starting to get close. The Tasmanian tiger still isn't back and they have it's complete DNA sequence, just because you have the DNA doesn't mean producing a clone is easy!

Surviving a blast in an old time refrigerator? It would have been incinerated from the hear of the nuclear blast. No way it would have survived! Even if it had, the blast force alone would have killed him, you don't survive that strong a blast wave. It would decimate your blood vessels. Hollywood at it's dumbest!

yeah the nuclear blast survival is compared maybe to someone with regular clothes in the in the space "swimming" like those old cartoons hehe
