D.Buzz should indeed help reduce plagiarism and spam by encouraging users to give the source of the content, particularly pictures, that the poster either does not own, or owns but is already posted somewhere else. Moreover, to reduce "reward farming", users should be encouraged to put their own description (which does not have to be long) of whatever image, quote, or video they posted.

I know that these are upcoming features for D.Buzz, though it looks like there is the pressure of needing to implement these features faster. I acknowledge that D.Buzz developers are busy with other tasks, but I believe they should implement the mentioned features faster.

Hi @savvyplayer,

I agree with these features being needed but I won't cave to the pressure of @hivewatchers when it's clearly us who have more skin in the game than them.

  • We've invested 6 figures in terms of USD, they receive $3,000 HBD to do their job

They can wait.

6 figures in USD is at least $100,000 (or at least ₱5,000,000 in @chrisrice's country's national currency). 💰

While it is clear that you have invested a lot for D.Buzz, why did you mention them getting about $3,000 per month to do their job? 🤔

They get about $3,000 HBD a month from the Hive Development fund.

I don't think it's just them that want those features implemented - I personally want them too. 😐 I believe that when D.Buzz users (especially new ones) see the reference box for the link which is optional and does not count towards the 280-character limit for buzz, there would be less plagiarized posts. 🤔

Just to follow-up @savvyplayer @jarvie,

  1. We ended up having real abuse on D.Buzz, in terms of a bot-farm joining @dbuzz, and a bot-spam-attack a few days later. Both were handled on the front-end level and via Decentralized Blacklists within 24 hours @savvyplayer.

  2. In addition to that, we downvoted all the bot-farming accounts, showing that we DO combat abuse.

  3. #Logic and #HiveWatchers was giving us hell over what we later found out was a mere 2% of our users, but when we got attacked with REAL and unquestionable abuse, it was us (the @dbuzz Team) who handled it, and via Decentralized Blacklists and Security Features within 24 hours.

I'm still looking for the posts where #HiveWatchers or #Logic called us a Spam Dapp, degrading us to the likes of what he called DLike and Share2Steem, but I haven't been able to find it.

Here is a screenshot of their Discord where #Logic requires someone to post an apology, 31 days in a row on their #HIVE account:

That's way to authoritarian for my taste and IMO it's a bad content moderation / appeal policy for HIVE.
