RE: Coronavirus and border closure: what science says about it

There are a few countries and states within some countries that closed borders and have largely returned to pre covid life, avoiding many deaths. Examples are Australia, New Zealand, and Taiwan. I think it really comes back to border closures are effective if they are done early and other measures are taken to contain any small outbreaks that emerge within borders. Border closures aee ineffective if done too late
