Useless Apps on my phone

Greetings!

Due to the lack of storage space bugs I experienced with the phones I used before this current one, I developed the habit of clearing space on my phone even before receiving storage warnings. I'm currently using a phone with large storage capacity, and ever since, I haven't had any issues with storage. However, I still frequently clear space, especially by removing useless apps, as apps often take up hidden space on phones.

If this prompt had come out two weeks ago, I would have had a lot of apps to mention, because two weeks ago, I took the time to clear out space on my phone, particularly by deleting apps that I no longer use. For now, let me walk through my app list to see which apps I haven't been using that are still installed on my phone. Of course, I’m very good at deleting apps that aren't useful at all.

Bitcoin.com Wallet:

As funny as it may sound, this app is holding just $2 worth of BCH, and it's been hard for me to uninstall, even though I have the seed phrase to the accounts saved elsewhere. This app became a favorite of mine when I was writing on Read.cash, and ever since, it's been difficult to remove, even though the amount left there is small and I could easily move it to bigger exchanges like Binance for safekeeping. I still don’t understand why I keep holding onto the app and resisting the many urges I usually get to uninstall it.

LetsChat:

Just two days ago, I was on voice call with Ibbtammy, and she asked if she could go ahead and delete the LetsChat app. I quickly told her to go ahead.
You may be wondering why she asked me. Well, I introduced her to the app during the 2022 FIFA World Cup because it offered a lot of perks at the time, including free daily airtime and five minutes of free calls each day. For about five months, we didn’t recharge our phones thanks to the app’s freebies. Ever since, the app has been on my phone, and I find it hard to delete, even though I haven’t used it for over a year.
It hasn’t occurred to me to uninstall it, perhaps because I’m subconsciously waiting for another round of perks. But even if that were the case, I could easily re-download it from the Play Store. So why can’t I delete it? I still don’t know. Lol 😅

Klever App:

This app is in the same category as the Bitcoin.com Wallet. I have just a small amount of TRX on it, yet I find it tough to delete. I have the login details for the wallet saved, but I still can’t bring myself to uninstall it and free up space. The amount of TRX is so small that I haven’t even considered selling it, but I get a sense of joy every time I open the app and see my money sitting there comfortably.

I’m fond of keeping crypto wallets even when I’m not actively using them, just like I enjoy having multiple bank accounts even when there’s no money in them. However, when I'm prompted to clean up, I usually get rid of most of them, except for the ones I have an ‘emotional’ attachment to. Lol

Thanks for reading.

Just like you I've got some apps like that that still seem like they can hold potential values and so finding it hard to delete them to free up space.

But I deleted the letschat app several months ago.

Yeah, many of us are in this category.
Use-less apps that are somehow sentimental.
So you used the LetsChat thing too, that's sweet to know.

This is funny. How and why did you even download the apps at the first place. I've never had any of these apps before and I won't from what you've said about them, lolz.

Lol😅.
They're actually good apps.
It's just that their time has passed and maybe, they could appear useful again in the future 😅

And you're using a very small budget phone. Are they not chopping off your space?😅

I also thought how you a few years ago. Now I only have what I use on the phone, and the rest I eliminate it.

That's it.
I used to harbour a lot of apps on my phone but now, I clean them off once they're no longer in use.

You obviously love downloading wallets for sure cause you literally have 2 that are useless. I think it's better to delete any app in as much as it's not serving any purpose.

Just like our local banks, I just love having them in many forms even though enough funds are not there. Most times, I got to own these stuffs via their awooof registration offers😅
