Uranus according to James Webb

Uranus according to James Webb

Souce

The James Webb is working at full speed and its managers have chosen an image to celebrate this Christmas, Uranus is the third largest planet in the solar system and what the webb has managed to reveal about this planet is that it is a Dynamic world, with rings, moons, storms and other atmospheric features including a seasonal polar cap.

The website also took images of many of its 27 moons and even saw some small moons inside the Rings, a year on Uranus out of curiosity a year on Uranus lasts 84 Earth years, the largest moon of Uranus is Titania with 1576 km in diameter, Oberon follows closely with 1,522 km and Umbriel with 1,169 km. Ariel, which is in the corner, is 1,158 km in diameter and all of these shown in the image are small satellites.

In the image it seems that we are practically seeing it as if we were seeing it from above but no, we are not seeing it from above, it is in its correct position, what happens is that Uranus is lying down, it orbits lying down, it orbits the sun looking at the Poles, The North Pole or the South Pole, is something very rare in the solar system. It is believed that it is because Uranus received the impact of a planet a long time ago that knocked it down.

That impact was catastrophic, the calculation is that the planet in question must have had a mass similar to that of the Earth, these are some of the mysteries of Uranus that I hope one day we will be able to solve by sending a ship there.

The color of Uranus and its rings looks beautiful from the images. It's indeed a peculiar planet that's a bit far away from the sun, I wonder how long will it take to reach the planet from the Earth.
