This researcher said in a media interview that in the past we have had technological advances that propelled us forward, such as the subatomic structure that gave rise to lasers, computer chips and LEDs, for example, this innovation, which is also based on materials science, follows the same line.

What they have discovered is a way to create extreme electromagnetic fields never before possible in a laboratory. Electromagnetic fields are generated when electrons from various materials can vibrate and bounce at incredibly high speeds and power all kinds of systems, from computer chips to super particle colliders that search, for example, for evidence of dark matter.

Sahai and his team of researchers have discovered, they have developed a silicon-based material, which is not a material made with extremely rare things, that similar material with which they make a chip can support beams of high energy particles, in addition, manage the flow of energy and allow scientists to access the electromagnetic fields created by the oscillations or vibrations of quantum gas of electrons, all in a space about the size of a thumb.
