NASA's problem with screws

Souce

This has become a huge problem and this seems like a joke to be honest, but it is real, it has been a month now and we have been dealing with the NASA screws for two months now, they are not able to open the main sample container from the potentially dangerous asteroid Bennu.

There are two 35mm screws that are resisting, they are not able to unscrew them, in the container there is material on top of it, there is blackish dust, that material is also from the asteroid, there are about 60 grams of material from the asteroid, which is not bad at all, 60 grams is a very respectable amount and in fact they have already analyzed these grams, and they have found carbon and water molecules, but the main container underneath is believed to have about 250 grams.

It is a real treasure that scientists cannot reach, the Japanese managed to bring back samples of two asteroids with the Hayabusa missions, they managed to bring back 1 gram of the Itokawa asteroid and 5.4 g of the Ryugu asteroid, so NASA with 60 grams has a good amount, although it would be wonderful if I could unscrew the screws and get the other 250 gr

Engineers are now developing new tools to be able to open the screws because the problem lies in how to open the container without contaminating the samples inside. It is expected that in the end they will succeed, they have calculated that this could happen during the first quarter of 2024. , so calm down for now.
