Great article. However, there is one problem I've encountered in articles about carbonated drinks.

People end up assuming that the carbonation in the problem. Usually the problem is with things added to the carbonation.

One article you pointed to was about the artificial sugars (asparatame) added to the soda.

Another complained about "Hard Seltzer." Hard seltzer is an alcoholic drink. The alcohol was the problem.

The studies on bone often used sodas that contained phosphoric acid. It was the poshopric acid that caused the bone loss.

Sparkling mineral waters are often healthy as they contain needed minerals.

This article on healthline points out that carbonation is basically nutural. Some sparkling waters have benefits. A sparkling mineral water contains minerals.

The problem usually lies with the stuff added to a drink ... like sugar, artificial sweeteners, etc, that cause the problme. Carbonated water could be a vehicle for healthy stuff.
