RE: It Has Been A Lovely Weekend So far

Wow! 😱 The bar was that empty before I came in? !LOL Next time I will go sooner...

It was very nice to meet new faces and hopefully, I was not too "complicated". I often get tagged with being too complex on details. Either way, I think you have a really good understanding of how things are shaping on HIVE and now I can surely say, you are a quick learner!

Your friend's curiosity about HIVE was also very enthusiastic and once she's around with an account, let me know. 😎 As I said... it's free... either use your ecency/peakd referral or anyone else.

I often forget how deep I am on things and to surface a more simplistic view of things in order to explain them, it's harder than I thought. It would be really nice to have simpler questions like the ones asked, in a sort of FAQ so that everyone can check.

Damn... that day was spot on. I didn't even know about that "WELLINGTON" stuff...

Keep exploring and enjoying being !ALIVE.

Some tokens, for when you have time to explore.

Hey guys @forykw @dora381 I'm glad to hear that you guys finally met in person (wish I could join ) and thanks so much for explaining Hive to our friends @forykw. I'm not sure that I can answer all the questions if someone asks me about Hive. 😅 We have a small Vietnamese Hive group in NZ, and I hope that you guys can introduce Hive to more Kiwis 😆

The weather sounds great today ha. I visited Welly a couple of times before and it was so windy :)

Have a great weekend ahead.

Wellington is that basis... when it's good it's perfect. Otherwise... you will notice.

And yeah, I am thinking of exploring more what makes people stay away from crypto and what things would make them try it if it was available. Then it might be actually easier to tackle more people. Because I am suspecting most people will just be the "entry" bit on having someone to onboard, although others might have other reasons as well and I just want to sense which types these usually are.

For me, the main reason I didn't like crypto because the environmental effect that I heard about. When I learned that Hive using different algorithm and commit to use renewable energy, I wanted to try and explore more. But it is just one of the check in my list. Of course, I was curious about Hive blog - a new social media platform and I could tell my dear girlfriend @trangbaby made a lot of positive things in her life.

Exactly and I wonder if more are in the same situation and that might completely change their perspective once knowing that are hundreds of different blockchains out there with all sorts of ways to work.

"...because the environmental effect that I heard about."

You are so right. When I first mentioned HIVE to someone off-chain, their immediate response was to send me this link, which is about an entirely different blockchain altogether, but also named "Hive", which has been buying up green energy production sites in the USA for running their crypto-mining venture. I had to reassure that person that our HIVE blockchain is nothing to do with that.

Thank you my dear. Can't wait for you to be here so we can expand our Hive Viet to New Zealand.

We have quite good weather in Jan/Feb. Thanks to global warming, it is nicer and nicer every year. I get used to with the windy weather so when we have a beautiful day, I thought I was not in Wellington haha it is a fun feeling.

Yeap, my boss kept telling me to go there early if I want to get a nice spot. Still couldn't get a better one LOL

I am actually impressed with how you explain things on Hive. The way you described the voting system on Hive vs the Like on Facebook and other social media platform were so easy to understand. I was able to tell my friend that in Hive you can vote, it's like the Like button on Facebook but you can earn money and that's it I didn't know much about Hive Fund Pool to explain. Thanks to you, I know there is more than that, the meaning behind the voting system, the Hive Fund Pool and fair value for everyone.

When you share with us what you gain from Hive, I can see the true passion that you have for Hive. It becomes a part of your life, your hobby. I also share the same feeling when I start my Hive journey and I am glad we can show my friend that value.

I really appreciate you spending your time with us and I hope we can build a small Hive community right here in Wellington. OMG, I am so excited about it.

I talked about two pools, the rewards pool, which is where the votes on posts comes from, and there is another one called the "Decentralized Hive Fund" (check here) where there is money to distribute among proposals that anyone submits, and if people vote on them and go above a certain threshold, they will receive the requested money.

Eager for you to drive a Hive Community here in Wellington. I will help where I can for sure.

Oh yes, I actually voted for two projects before, I think it's Hivefest and Hivebuzz.

I will get in touch if I need help to make it happen. Enjoy your long weekend
