Pumpkin plant (Lagenaria siceraria)

hi everyone, today I am back to share some pictures of the plants that I am cultivating throughout 2023, and am thankful that all the plants that I am cultivating are in good condition and will soon produce results, today I am sharing about great plants that grow by propagating on a traditional support, if this plant is allowed to propagate on the ground it will be longer than a ground pumpkin, and we make a support like this so that the fruit will not be damaged due to exposure to water pressure and mud when it rains.

and this is also a pumpkin plant and in our city this pumpkin is hunted by more people compared to ground pumpkin in general, this pumpkin is usually used by residents for various types of dishes and some are used to mix meat, for example goat curry, and yeah, for For our tongues, the mixture of goat meat and pumpkin is very delicious the taste of pumpkin and ground pumpkin is very different.

This pumpkin has the scientific name "Lagenaria siceraria" which is very familiar, and I have a great story when I saw this pumpkin, in the past when I was a child I often saw people who used the old (dry) skin of this pumpkin to hold water, and it's like a jerry can, you can try it, you just need an old pumpkin and throw away all the contents inside the fruit, the skin of this pumpkin is very hard after it gets old and is very different from ground pumpkin, but nowadays there are no more things like that because of the times has changed and water containers are now easily accessible to our residents.
