Probably one of the most useful inventions would be the ability to filter and purify water in large quantities. Because you know, without clean water we all be dead.

My last comment on someone's post was agreeing that distillation was an amazing invention but yes, as you say, without purification we would be lost!
I have actually just started to donate money each month to a charity that spends the whole pound/dollar on water treatment in some of the poorest regions of the world because exactly as you say purification is so damn important and we take this fundamental for granted I think, thanks for reminding us all not to take the small things for granted. 😎👍
Indeed @stevenwood, its something we all take for granted. But no clean water, no life. End of story.
This is a good point...Water brings life, sustains it. It's interesting how there's still countries without good, available, potable water...Almost unbelievable to think it. Water purification on an industrial scale is a great invention.

tokens.Ah most certainly this one here! We take for granted almost every single day that we have drinkable water from a faucet or a fridge.
And without all that clean, clear water BATHS would be just awful. 😆
Agreeing wholeheartedly with you on this one from Thailand, where death from water-borne disease remains common. My own dance with typhoid after eating a salad washed with contaminated water some years back remains in my "Nightmare" file.

Thank goodness for water filtration technology.
Damn. Ever the practical guy. I am one of the 40 million people that get their water from the Colorado River. I get water filtration.
A week without food and you live. A week without clean water and its gamova.
I agree!
On the other hand I'm also aware that we can't ignore the cause of some of these issues.
Mainly, I we didn't pollute as much of this earth, there would probably be less need for water purification...
That is a fact, and a good point.
