Greetings fellow travelers and adventure lovers, I always say that owning a Drone is a very fun alternative to get to know places from other angles, something I have already demonstrated on my blog is that seeing Roman Ruins from above gives us a perception of what the architecture of cities was like in ancient times, something that we cannot see in detail at first glance. Today I visited a village called "Leceia" that hides a very interesting past, being one of the oldest places where the first settlers lived in Portugal.🌍🚩

Saludos amigos viajeros y amante de las aventuras, siempre digo que poseer un Drone es una alternativa bastante divertida para conocer lugares desde otros ángulos, algo que demostré ya en mi blog es que ver desde arriba unas Ruinas Romanas nos da una percepción de como era la arquitectura de las ciudades antiguamente, cosa que a simple vista no podemos detallar, hoy visite una aldea llamada "Leceia" que oculta un pasado bastante interesante, siendo uno de los lugares más antiguos donde habitaron los primeros pobladores en Portugal.🧔🏻♂️🗺️

To visit the "Castro de Leceia" which is where we are now, we have to travel a little less than 20km from Lisbon center to the outskirts of the parish of Barcarena then reach the village of "Leceia" and very close to the "Leceia caves" we will get to this historical site, which I tell you in advance that it closes on weekends I recommend visiting from Monday to Friday, as I visited it on a Sunday I could not enter but it did not matter because I have my drone and this area is free of photography about 30m🚩🌍
Para visitar el "Castro de Leceia" que es donde estamos ahora, tenemos que viajar poco menos de 20km desde Lisboa centro hasta las afueras de la freguesia de Barcarena luego llegar a la aldea de "Leceia" y muy próximo de las "cuevas de Leceia" conseguiremos este sitio histórico, que desde antemano te digo que cierra los fines de semana te recomiendo la visita de lunes a viernes, como lo visite un domingo no pude entrar, pero no importaba porque tengo mi drone y esta zona es libre de fotografía sobre los 30m👨🏻🏫🏞️

I'd like to add to the information about why we should visit places like these: many of them are free or affordable, paying a maximum of 2 euros because they're subsidized by the municipalities; therefore, it's budget-friendly tourism! It's also fun to fly a drone over these spaces, or at least when there are no restrictions; there's no better way to learn about a city's history than by visiting ancient settlements.🌍🚩
¡Me gustaría agregar sobre la información del porqué tenemos que visitar lugares como estos es que muchos de ellos son gratis o económicos pagando máximo 2 euros porque son subsidiados por los municipios, por tanto, es turismo económico! Además que es divertido pilotear él drone encima de estos espacios o al menos cuando no hay restricciones; no hay mejor forma de aprender sobre la historia de una ciudad que visitando los asentamientos antiguos.🧔🏻♂️⛰️
History of "Leceira"🌍🏞️/ História de "Leceira"📍🧭
Carlos Ribeiro was the person who discovered these ruins at the beginning of the 19th century. It is located on the right side of the slope of the "ribera de barcarena". Visually, we can see the entrance of the Tejo River. This position, at this high point and being next to the Ribera, offered the settlers unlimited resources for long periods of time. 20 years of work, and this "Castro de Leceia" being the most studied archaeological site in Lisbon, gathered information about houses and defensive structures from different periods.🚩🌍
Carlos Ribeiro fue el personaje que descubrió estas ruinas, a principios del siglo XIX, está situada a la derecha de la ladera de la: "ribera de barcarena" visualmente podemos ver la entrada del río Tejo, esta posición en este punto alto y al estar al lado de la Ribera les ofrecía a los pobladores recursos ilimitados por largos periodos de tiempo, 20 años de trabajo y siendo este "Castro de Leceia" el sitio arqueológico más estudiado de Lisboa reunió información sobre casas, estructuras defensivas de distintos periodos.👨🏻🏫🗺️

The oldest recorded buildings at the "Castro de Leceia" date back to the second Neolithic period, or the Stone Age, more than 3,300 years BC, spanning a total of more than 6,000 years of history! There is evidence of a significant period of abandonment at the end of the Chalcolithic period, which would be equivalent to the Bronze Age.🌍📍
¡Las construcciones más antiguas que se registraron en el "Castro de Leceia" datan del segundo periodo del neolítico, o sea en la edad de piedra, hace más de 3300 años antes de Cristo, en total reuniendo más de 6000 años de historia! Upon reaching the Copper Age, the three-level fortification was built to protect the new settlement that would be built. Remember that the Celts arrived in Portugal in the 6th century BC. They were not civilizations, they were primitive peoples. This citadel continued to be inhabited from 3300 to 2200 BC.🚩🌍
Al llegar a la edad de Cobre se construye el fortificado de tres niveles para resguardar el nuevo poblado que sería construido, recordemos que los celtas llegaron a Portugal en el siglo VI a.C, ellos no eran civilizaciones, eran pueblos primitivos; sé continuo habitando esta ciudadela desde el 3300 hasta el 2200 a.C👨🏻🎓🚙
Radiocarbon dating indicates that the settlement was very productive at the agricultural and pastoral level. The lands were fertile and allowed for the cultivation of many resources. The settlers also took advantage of the river for fishing and mollusc extraction, forming a practically omnivorous diet. Some of the objects found from 2200 BC were found in the Barcarena gunpowder factory where I came and I am showing you those photos.🚩🌍
Las pruebas de radiocarbono indican que el poblado fue muy productivo a nivel agro-pastoral, las tierras eran fértiles y permitieron la siembra de muchos recursos, además los pobladores también aprovecharon el río para la pesca y la extracción de moluscos, formando una dieta prácticamente omnívora, algunos de los objetos encontrados del 2200a.C los encontramos en la fabrica de polvora de Barcarena donde vine y te muestro esas fotos.👨🏻🏫⛰️
One day I'd like to visit the nearby caves because many people think the first settlers created these houses, but that wasn't the case! They lived in caves, even though we're talking about a species other than Homo sapiens sapiens, but an earlier ancestor.🧔🏻♂️🗺️

the ruins are clean and tidy. yeah you are right, this place is nice to visit. i enjoy watching especially the one you took from the drone above.
