What would you like to see in the future?

From the beginning of time man has always been an intelligent being, constantly looking to discover, understand, adapt, survive, and make life easier for themselves in whatever way possible. Over time we have slowly moved from the time of sticks and stones, to steam engines and heavy machinery, and now we're in a time of small chips and circuits, a time when we can can come online and troll someone who we wouldn't even be able to say a word to If they weren't 20,000 miles away. A time when I can get anything I want delivered to my doorstep just by tapping on a glass screen. That is some remarkable progress in my opinion.

image.png

But this progress hasn't been instant, it's taken centuries of hardwork, lots of battles and wars, a couple backsteps, and a lot more, all to achieve the things we see today. I remember when I was younger having a phone was a big flex, and if it was a touch screen you're a king, but now almost everyone has a touch screen phone, and those who don't, have a small button phone.

image.png

I don't know why, but we (humans) seem to always have the desire to know more. We want to know why? when? how? who? And how to control or remedy it (If required) whenever anything happens and that has helped us to stay ahead and keep evolving and developing new things. We have and are still training numerous intellectuals who devote their lives to discovery and invention of things meant to better the human life.

At times sit down and I wonder what next the human race is going to come up with. A handful of tools to make life even more easier like we're already seeing, or maybe even grand things like a teleportation device or time machine.

I'm sure If you had told anyone from the stone age that one day we would be able to travel to another country in a matter of hours by flight, or sit down to watch a TV in an air conditioned apartment full of bright chandelier lights while sipping hot chocolate he'd call you a mad man. But look at us now we're doing those things and it seems normal.

image.png

It's quite fun to think about what life would be like for me If I were living in the past or the future. The future is ahead so at least I can see some of it. I can only live so long but some of the things I'd like to see are teleportation and time machines. Whoever discovers them is going to have their name etched in history books.

If you could live long enough, what would you like to see being discovered in the future?

Honestly the desire to know more starts in human at age of 3. The young child will ask different questions that sometimes, pare6 do not have the answer. This desire has led to all this progress you mentioned here. Just as you said. Recieving things at your door step by clicking a glass screen. So wonderful and amazing. See bro, today we are making digital money and it solves our need. What the future holds is too much. Many will unfold in the future. Your article has what it takes for one to stop and think.

haha, I even forgot to talk about the presence of crypto and how it's here to change the financial system. Thanks for that reminder as well as for stopping by to interact.

The mystery about the future is the fact that it remains hidden to us. If we could see the future why do we even have to stress ourselves.

Most time we just have hopes and dreams.

Even the 2023 in front of us no one can tell exactly how it would look like. We would just keep predicting

Very true. Seeing into the future is impossible. It's just always fun imagining different scenarios

Yeah that’s why we have hopes and dreams

I've had this thought before and I couldn't help but be grateful. Technology, innovation, science amongst others have changed the world, but of course, it has its bad side too.

With the way the world is evolving, one can't exactly wrap their fingers around what to expect next. I mean, if you told a person 30years ago that they'd be flying cars or electric cars, he'd probably suggest you visit a psychiatric hospital but now, look where we are. Great progress I must say.

You know you're very correct we're quite a priviledged generation.

It's so difficult to predict what comes after this, but i'm hoping its good things. There has been speculation though that tech will be the end of us.

I've heard those speculations too and I can't help but wonder. They actually have a point tho and technically it's left to us to prevent the unknown by watching our habits.

very nice post and very interesting topic. Indeed it is true, man has the ability to evolve and make crazy up-grades in all areas of his life. Just think back 10 years ago that we had the very first smartphones and today see how the smartphone has evolved

But the most interesting aspect, in my opinion, is to see how man might evolve in terms of thinking.

As a student of history, I have studied transformations and innovations a lot. There are tens of hundreds of important dates in the evolution of Man.

I could cite hundreds of important dates and events for the evolution of the human being

In addition to thinking about how human thinking might change, I am very fascinated by trying to understand in which direction we will go with energy. We have seen the steps that took us from animal traction to steam, from steam to coal, from coal to oil, from oil to renewables and nuclear power. But now we seem to be at a standstill, with some proposing a return to coal, others proposing an increase in nuclear power.

What will we do when renewable resources, such as oil, are completely exhausted? In my opinion a very interesting topic :)

Hehe you've just blown the entire topic wide open, which i like. You know i've never actually thought of what will happen when our non- renewable materials get exhausted. I'm not to heavy on going back to coal, but then nuclear power is quite detrimental to the environment as well.

is certainly an interesting topic! The ecological transition is a topic that concerns us closely and still many of us pretend not to know what it means ahah

but one day we will have to figure out how to save the human!
