The same thing has happened here. Smoke has rolled in like fog from the terrible fires in the north, making the landscape look very different. What a beautiful postcard!

A few years ago the city was full of smoke, and it was hard to breath. This year hasn't been as bad, but it's still smoky and very little summer rain.
It doesn't rain here in summer either, but there isn't as much smoke... they're changing the climate, have you noticed?
It depends on the year for us because our climate is dependent on the waters of the Pacific ocean. Sometimes summers are wet and sometimes dry. Last year was colder than usual in summer so the fire season was not so bad.
Let us hope there are no more fires, let us hope.
