RE: Won't be Missed

The central concern strikes me as valid: a society with fewer face-to-face connections may lead to people feeling more isolated and, consequently, less visible to others. But I think it is worth distinguishing between two issues. The fact that someone uses AI for companionship does not necessarily mean that they have ceased to value human relationships; in some cases, it may be a symptom of loneliness, anxiety or a lack of alternatives, rather than the cause of isolation.

You're right sir, and that's my fear, humans going to AI for emotional support rather than humans.

Even several years before the advent of AI, many people had already turned to artificial alternatives, such as using dolls to satisfy their sexual desires; for example.

That's true. That is to say AI isn't the main problem, the problem is most humans have learn to live without their fellows. But that's insane and I believe there are many things that might lead to this act of theirs.
