Wow, that's a blog :)
I think some people in my country should read your blog. There is an insistence here that gender is binary--either male or female. Passports, for example, must reflect gender at birth. Well, what is that for some people? Not so clear. Gender in my country, becomes a matter of bureaucracy, not biology.
Fascinating blog. I did use a translator for some of it:)

I think it's a really facinating matter, but unfortunately people are using the topic as another battle field, arguing fiercely about the "only correct definition" instead to focus on understanding what nature is creating...
Yes, I guess this post is not always easy to read. In these times of AI I decided to stopp making translations of my articles because that was partly so time consuming that it prevented me from posting at all in the end. :)
I love translating, but of course much of this vocabulary was unfamiliar to me because I don't read much (in German) about meiosis, and other reproductive technicalities. :) Fascinating, though. When I took German in college I think I astonished my professors sometimes by my translation exercises. This combined not only my joy in deciphering German, but my delight in using the English language. I would spend a great deal of time in working out just the right wording that captured not only word-for-word translation, but the spirit of the piece.
