Adopting Technology as A Monitoring Mum - #273

Having a peaceful joyous home and family has always been my dream. Getting married to a partner who is understanding and loving, a man like ones parent and best friend whom we can raise our lovely kids together in same love that extends from our ends as their parent.

Thinking about how technology is in every crook and cranny of the world and lives of everyone both young and old, I get to think at times how easy it will be to raise children without the good upbringing being manipulated by the use of technology.

Apparently I think even though the use of technology is so rampant either for the positive or negative sides, there are some measures that have been put in place to safeguard children from malicious contents that might get us scared of leaving our kids to the use of technology.

For someone like me who doesn't really relent or trust to let kids live independently in case of been distracted by something that might make them behave bad, I think these measures can still make me stay calm and be of a less monitoring spirit when I start raising my children or the children I have around me now.

For instance, we all know that even on YouTube, there's a feature to set to notify the platform that the account is being created for a kid and any adult content won't be brought to the account except for kids contents that would build and groom them.
Even on these TV cables, there are settings to ensure that only channels that would be beneficial to children are the ones that would be shown and all other channels will be shut off from that decoder id.

For me, I feel like these measures would ensure and support me in making my children explore the use of technology without my eyes on them as a monitoring mother. All I have to do is check-up on them unannounced to see if everything I set is still intact. You can't blame me you know, lol

Checking all sites are child appropriate, age related to viewing, is a parental duty. Watching some of what is presented via programs as additional safeguard as many sites may appear savory, turn out not to be.

Not even when there's no functional or effective regulatory body to prevent bad contents being aired to the general public so manually safeguarding children is important.
