The world inventions: The history of information technologies!
We are perceiving many equipments that we like and appreciate in life, when doing messages to each other. And you can think of information technologies as to how you get known to domestic and foreign countries. Life is about passion and acitivities, and we are trying to do it good at our globe!
What is really this package with information technology? We have radio, computer, the internet, the cable television, the phone, the mail and Skype! The first radio was developed by Guglielmo Marconi in 1894. This extremely crucial emerging technologies that led to big advances in the information technology field. The first large-scale automatic digital computer in the United States was the Mark 1 created by Harvard University around 1940. Hence, what we have today in equipments around our PC, is just a reflection on how the development has been lately. Alvin Toffler is much loved and known, and he was talking about the wave with the information technologies as «The third wave». He did it on BBC and on other media channels. We have got a future shock for many with all these things, and the development still continues with getting new and better solution for people and for organizations! We cannot live a day with the information technologies, and these have come to be there. We cannot turn back to nothing in history!
So, this was the radio and the computer. What about these other things as mentioned? The internet has its history back to 1983. ARPANET adopted TCP/IP on January 1, 1983, and from there researchers began to assemble the “network of networks” that became the modern Internet. This is net with information between us, and therefore the name «Internet». When going to the Internet today, you can do many things, and you can be known in whichever country having the accessibility to the Internet. Being online or offline, is just a selection you choose from time to time, and it implies things for cogntions, emotions and behavior. And what about CNN which is a global cable television channel to the pleasure of many people around the earth? Cable television originated in the United States almost simultaneously in Arkansas, Oregon and Pennsylvania in 1948. This specific television technology came to enhance poor reception of over-the-air television signals in mountainous or geographically remote areas.
The history of the phone started in the 1800s. However, the history of mobile phones goes back to 1908 when a US Patent was issued in Kentucky for a wireless telephone. Therefore, what development we have in the markets today and inside the organizations with the employees is just a little more than 100 years old. The mobile phone has come to be, and there will just be more user-friendly and even better versions in the future. This changes the ways that people think and operate! It is a shock for the whole civilizations around the world! We also have the smartphones today, and we will get better solutions in the future! The mail or post is a system for physically transporting postcards, letters, and parcels. Accordingly, the mail system is used when you and eventually other people have something to say or to write to each other. The mail system is just doing information exchanges about everything conceivable from operator to operator. The Universal Postal Union (UPU), established in 1874, includes 192 member countries, and this has established and it still sets the rules for international mail exchanges. Therfore, people and organizations use the mail and the post to get in contact with each other in friendly ways or in seriously ways. Skype was founded in 2003 by Niklas Zennström, from Sweden, and Janus Friis, from Denmark. You can make as many conversations as you like through the whole globle, and you can give messages to each other. The tecnhology is just depending on having the availability to the markets, either these messages are spoken or written!
In addition to the various information technolgies mentioned, you can find different solutions in different firms to reach many countries or all countries in the world. And it is just about being calmly, and to use your personality as good as you can. All types of information technologies have a sender and a receiver. When talking and writing, you can do it individually, to one or more groups, or to the mass! And if you are making a message for fun or for making things seriously, you should try to get the attention as you are trying to deserve everywhere where you are!
