The world inventions: The case of the bloodstream!
Many people have through all times known about the bloodstream, since accidents and bad instances sometimes resulted in blood. But it was William Harvey that first gave a correct description of the bloodstream in the body, and that anybody in any position at all level, has its bloodstream and its own body!
William Harvey has gotten the credit for the discovery that the bloodstream was and is a whole and unified part of the human body. William Harvey was an English doctor. The bloodstream is a transport system that all organs and all cells in the human body are dependent of. The bloodstream consists of the heart and the blood vessels. We can do research in every detail of the bloodstream, and the research can be in progress and it can be pioneering from time to time. And all humans coming to the world and living in the world, have the same blood system and the same organs inside the human body. All doctors, new and known for a while, study diseases and find the right medicine. If you want to study something, you should make your choices for the best places in the world, otherwise you get a second best solution!
In 1628, William Harvey was the first person in the world to discover the complete and theoretical functioning of the bloodstream in the human body. Although humans through many earlier times have seen blood from the human body, and many have reacted through showing blood, it was first with Harvey´s studies that one got a complete and unified theory of the bloodstream in the body.
William Harvey was born in Folkestone. He got his education at King’s School in Canterbury, Gonville and Caius College in Cambridge and by the university in Padova. Here, William Harvey studied under Hieronymus Fabricius, and he took his exam in 1602. After that, he returned to England, and there he married with Elizabeth Brown. She was in a royal family. Therefore, William Harvey had the best relations and the best places to live and to work.
William Harvey worked as a doctor by St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in London between 1609 and 1643, and he was a member of Royal College of Physicians. Although, he had a good job, he was doing pioneering research about the bloodstream in the body. And today, we know that we have a small and a large circuit in our bodies. The small is from our head to our heart, and the large one is the circuit in our whole body!
William Harvey build his theory about the human body on Descartes’ perception of the same. Descartes meant that the blood vessels were tubular, and they brought nourishment throughout the body. Hence, the human could live its life on her or his own. After William Harvey made a number of experiments on his own, he came with a new view on the body. He meant that the heart was pumping blood through the whole body, and the blood vessels were of two types: Arteries and veins.
William Harvey found that the heart was pulling itself together in the human body, and that was the way we live our life as living creatures. He also found that the arteries brought blood to the veins in the whole system. The arteries are bringing oxygen-rich blood out in the body, and the veins are bringing oxygen-poor blood to the heart. That is the way the blood system is working for us all at our planet. That is a true fact for all races and all nationalities the world around!
