Currently working my ass off trying to hit 2 deadlines for projects that I took on for the end of the month. Been not feeling particularly well the past month so that is certainly adding stress to the whole situation as not only do I have people depending on my to make deadlines but on top of that I've been trying to juggle keeping my own projects from imploding as well. The good news is that in the future all of my projects database handling will be done in a much less chaotic method than they currently are as I'm in the midst of learning how to use Sequelize for data handling so that will hopefully lead to increased site performance and data being stored in a far less volatile method than it is now. Sites like Hive-Roller.com will have their data handling moved to this new method next year. The old method which I've lovingly dubbed "jankDB" will be phased out on all existing projects beginning with Hive-Roller.com beginning shortly after new years if all goes well.. No more sketchy home-brew data handling methods.. Nothing but industry standard stuff moving forward.

The Hive.Loans project also got a small amount of attention and come January will start getting some serious development time put towards it. It should be quite an undertaking but if all goes well in development an online proof of concept version should be online by the end of February 2021. This in no means will be the final version but similar to the open online alpha testing currently going on with the Hive-Roller.com project the Hive.Loans site will be open for users to check out and test things out well before the version 1.0.0 is launched hopefully around Q3 of 2021... However as stated above we'll likely have the site online and useable before March 2021.

One of my upcoming deadlines also has thrown me into the realm of Ethereum smart contract building, which was something I'd up until recently avoided like the plague due to my somewhat sadistic view on the ETH project itself but alas given the need to fund my own project development and not starve to death in the process I've taken on building a smart contract for a well known startup run by some well established members of the HIVE community. While not under a non-disclosure agreement contract I'll keep the exact details of the hiring party under my hat until I've been given the green light to share what I am working on to the greater community.

Given that one of the smart contract languages Solidity is quite close to Javascript it's been an interesting foray into the ETH ecosystem although it certainly isn't something I see myself shifting all of my development focus into anytime soon.. Not a huge fan of Ethereum to begin with given it's propensity to have extremely inflated transaction fees and that it's host to a number of super questionable decentralized applications..

The whole "DeFi" thing is what I've coined as an "Idiots Digital Gold Rush" with tons if folks throwing money into things they have little to no understanding of.. But alas it is not up to me to police the internet and crypto space trying to save people from scammy smart contracts.. All I can do is ensure the ones I'm building for clients are secure and fair to everyone involved to try and offset the plethora of hacks and scams present in the ETH ecosystem.

Unfortunately due to being swamped at the moment with a bunch of looming deadlines hanging over my head I'll have to deny any requests clients may have to get me on-board developing their projects till atleast the new years. If you have some work that needs done in the crypto space code wise or need help building crypto projects I ask that you contact me some time after 2021 hits the calendar because as of right now I'm unable to find time to work on anything but the current projects I'm contracted out to do. Even my own projects are going to have to wait unless some terrible game breaking exploits is found so I ask you to be patient in approaching me to have things built. I don't mind you contacting me to inquire about getting put into the contract work queue for next year but for having work done before the end of the year unless you're the 2 projects mentioned above in this post simply put I do not possess the time to take on new work till January 2021.
