Study Finds Cannabis Helps People Find Relief From Endometriosis Pain

Cannabis might be more effective than other options at offering some relief from pain associated with endometriosis, which a number of people suffer from, according to a new study.

a recent study of only a little over 200 women who had endometriosis had found that many of them, about 80 percent, were already using cannabis to help find some remedy. And this is even found with those who might have obtained black market cannabis as well.

Some stopped using cannabis though. However, the majority of those who reported that they stopped using cannabis was because of the legality surrounding the plant where they lived. Or they stopped using it because they couldn't find a regular supplier to rely upon.

Not one participant reported stopping their cannabis use because they found it ineffective

Still, regardless of the positive results they might have seen, they aren't recommending that anyone with this illness turn to this path of treatment of course.

"Having noted that, we're not for one second saying all women who have endometriosis should take cannabis—that would be irresponsible and inaccurate.

How one individual responds compared to the next is going to be different, just as how one illness impacts the body could be drastically different from the next.

Over the years we have continued to see one study after the other shed light on just how versatile cannabis can be, as there are people with a wide variety of illnesses and ailments that turn to cannabis for remedy and who report seeing it work for them.
