The people calling for the banning of Twitter, on Twitter, are truly ridiculous

I don't really understand people and their sense of self-importance when it comes to their online persona. The way in which people will make demands of others online and how they talk down to everyone else especially when it comes to politics is both hilarious and maddening. Every now and then I get fwd something that someone posted that I guess is supposed to be a warning of sorts but when I try to look up who the person is they are just a nobody.

This Tweet was particularly funny to me

I'd never heard of this person but it turns out she is a "full time activist." Oh fantastic. She also seems to have a very high level of TDS in that her activism is directed solely at being anti-Trump. I can find no record of her doing any other sort of activist work but then again, I didn't dig very hard because I don't really care.

I did find out that she has spent a great deal of her life living in San Francisco, which I wish was some sort of surprise but it is not.

I don't really care about this woman and I don't have the time or energy to hate anyone but I just think it is hilarious that she believes that Google and Apple would even listen to her. I did find out that she has become a multi-millionaire from her "activism" and that does seem to be a very good business to be involved in if you can get enough people upset enough to give you money to keep the fight going. Personally I think there is a special place in the hell that I do not believe in for people like Shannon who use other people's money to enrich themselves when that money was donated for some other reason. There are many activists who do this sort of thing and it just so happens that the "best" activists are also very very rich.

Regardless, I would really like to see what the responses were from Google and Apple that Shannon sent to them, if they even bothered to respond at all. It's a very "Karen" moment to talk about how you are encouraging the banning of a product while using said product to get your message out to other people.

I don't think Trump has used his reinstated account. He's so invested in his "Truth Social" platform that any retreat there means disaster. It is a cult of personality framed as a social media service, so he can't abandon it in the slightest now.

Activists sitting in their urban ivory towers feeling self-righteous indignation as a business are deeply disturbing parasites on society. Their noise about nothingness always interferes with anyone trying to address root problems.

Is it any wonder that all of the activists that are in charge of something end up being very wealthy? How is this not a sign of the fact that their motivations might not be entirely genuine?

I agree with you about Truth Social, I never used it but if he were to abandon it there really wouldn't be much reason for anyone else to use it at all.

It's so crazy and it needs to stop at some point. Either people need better things to do with their time and/or these app companies need a good slap in terms of what they are restricting.

I think they are doing some very intelligent tactics on twitter at the moment to ban all the bots
at least that's what I'm being told

Well, I do not really care since these little kids have also banned my account years ago

but it would be funny to see all those political accounts being removed for being bots and even real political leader accounts only having a few followers because most of their followers were bots ^^

The bot story is interesting for sure but people are still going to cry about it if it gets exposed. I've always found Twitter to be a bit too invasive because the people I know that use it are all over it around the clock. I don't need that in my life at all so I dont' even care if my information is a bit outdated by not even having an account.

Her income depends on foisting negative feelings on others. this line of work seems to be in vogue these days.

Yeah, the left is highly hypocritical now, perhaps has always been as my conservative friends tell me. I was a leftie until 2016 so I couldn't see it, just as they can't.

People do get painted into their political corners don't they? This isn't just true of leftists although i do tend to notice it more often. I'm sure there are plenty of conservatives that because of what they subscribe to on social media, don't even know the potential benefits of any liberal proposition. They just get told the negatives and that is the only thing they ever focus on. Both sides are guilty of this and it is just par for the course now.

Some people think they are important when in reality no one gives a shit lol. Why she even thought this was a good idea I have no clue as they know what is happening and don't need to be told or asked.

She needs to justify her position by pretending as though her contacting anyone is actually going to result in anything getting done. I would imagine that they didn't even respond to her.
