How do you think the technology 50 years later would look like? Are we finally going to have flying cars? A true VR world ala SAO? How about space travel? Will humanity finally land on other planets?

I believe that Flying cars are already possible with our technology, but the problem lies in the traffic systems. Even with the organized traffic now, accidents (and not-so-accidents) still happen. Taking it to the sky will adds more layers of risk.

Agreed. I remember watching about a car-airplane hybrid several years ago that could run and fly using the highway. There were also car that hovers and one that uses electric magnet and rails (although still experimental). What I really want to see though are flying cars that can be used for daily purpose like normal cars but as you say some problems needed to be resolved and that needed a lot of time.
I think we should take a look at series like Westworld or the movie iRobot.
There could be some clues..
But I know one fact, it's possible to earn money from helping to build VR game today.
