HEAT TREATMENT OF MATERIAL

About Heat Treatment
Heat treatment is the process of strengthen or alter a material's structure(metal) through heating or cooling.
In this practical, i have five samples of medium steel .the samples are
(1)Annealing
(2)Normalising
(3)Quenching in oil
(4)Quenching in water
(5)Quenching in air

Step(1)
Cutting of samples.i.e cutting of medium steel

Step(2)
Filing of the five samples

Step(3)
Punching of samples with my groups

Step(4)
Heat treatment of the samples

In that heat treatment, we normalize,annealing,quenching in(water,air and oil).

(5) grinding of the samples
(6)finally, the polishing of the samples(medium steel).

This is how i spent today.
