STEMsocial Distilled #10

(Edited)

And here we are for a two-digit edition of our STEMsocial distilled. As a result of an insane week for @lemouth, this edition is however late. However, here we finally are with the 10th edition of the distilled of the best articles posted within the STEMsocial community. Feel free to read and comment the posts of all featured authors of the week! Note that if you use our app, your comments are eligible for a small upvote from STEMsocial!

For those who do not know what STEMsocial is, please take a look here, or pass by Discord, the Openhive Chat, Twitter or Facebook.

Before moving on with the two best posts that have been selected (by @lemouth) from all the posts found by our curators last week, here are the most supported ones:

AuthorTitle
@idoctorThe mechanism of Child Birth - Normal Labour
@cyprianjDemystifying the myths about nose mask; mechanism and principle of filtration
@medro-martinPredicting Hive - An Intro to Regression - 2

@agmoore Giraffe Calls a Meeting, and a Brief History of Balloon Travel
@gentleshaidThe similitude of immigrants and invasive species

Our top choices

Demystifying the myths about nose mask

With the COVID-19 crisis, we have heard a lot about this mask stories. Should we really wear a mask when we go outside? Is this really useful? @cyprianj gets featured in the STEMsocial distilled for a second time and addresses this very important topic of the mask, and what should be and should not be done with it. Feel free to read it (and leave a comment).

Superfetation; an extremely rare occurrence

With such a title, it was impossible to miss this post from @pearlumie, that discusses a rare phenomenon: double pregnancy. Or in other words, the occurrence of a second conception during pregnancy. On this matter, other animals are probably better than us. Feel free to get to the post to know more.

There are many misconceptions surrounding nose masks and its use. I'm glad the post addressed some.

I hope to see my name in next distilled

Another smashing edition of Distilled. Thank you so much for including my light-hearted piece about balloon travel. I have read several blogs featured in this issue, and just finished @perlumie's piece on superfetation. Fascinating.
I finally have Keychain and so anticipate no more difficulty in communicating on this Ap. Hooray :)
