To summarize this interesting family we can say that seagulls are very sociable, intelligent animals, they practice monogamy, basically a couple get together for life! What stands out about the seagulls is their beautiful yellow beak with a red spot! a strong body with great strength! ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŽ“

But calm down! seagulls have a dark side too! These are known to be too territorial, we have seen many videos of seagulls attacking people when they pass through their territory! there is evidence of seagulls killing people on the high seas! many country governments have taken steps to train raptors to hunt seagulls to avoid attacks!๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

In Argentina there is a problem that the government has been struggling with for years, and that is that seagulls attack the backs of whales that are in captivity, ripping the meat of these animals! you can already imagine the powerful peak they have!

Seagulls have been able to adapt to all circumstances, for example the California species flies long distances to nest, along the way they can feed on insects! there is a Mormon legend dating back to 1840 where seagulls helped exterminate a plague of insects that ate their crop!๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

In my personal opinion, seagulls are one of the evolutionarily better adapted species for extreme environments, they are known to be species of marine environments, so they are far from drinking bodies of water, basically a seagull can drink salt water and make it drinkable thanks to some adaptations in your body!๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ

๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŽ“

Very sociable๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ˜

These birds are common in fishing areas, beaches, ports! currently you can get seagulls already within cities near rivers or sea! each time they are losing more and more fear for humans, to the point of stealing products from stores!

Seagulls in some countries are considered pests, since they make their nests in buildings, houses, squares! they are basically leaving the natural environment to live with us! but being great opportunists they see themselves feeding on waste!๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚

Although birds are very territorial, they can be seen sharing land with other species, I have already seen seagulls with pelicans, abys, pelicans and many other species! good to share food ... I doubt it !!! ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Las aves apesar de ser muy territorias se pueden ver compartiendo terreno con otras especies, yo ya vi gaviotas con pelicanos, con abis, pelicanos y muchas otras especies! bueno compartir comida... Lo dudo!!!๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŽ“

Seagulls are monogamists only have one partner for life, but they do not live with them all year round, basically only in the reproductive season, they always return to the same territory year after year to reproduce, the male makes sounds to attract his partner who is incredibly get to recognize his voice!๐Ÿ˜š๐Ÿ˜š

Before you think I was playing with the seagull, let me tell you that I basically released it, it had some plastic straps on its legs and well I got it released! but it wasn't easy because every time I picked it up I wanted to bite! XD๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Let's raise awareness, recycle! if you go to the beach don't leave dirty in the sand! Do you know how many birds die annually from plastic? 1,000,000 and 100,000,000 in the US due to contamination !!!๐Ÿ˜ถ๐Ÿ˜ถ

Very informative on the seagull, in Missouri where I live we have a ring billed gull that migrates from the Great Lakes in winter and can be seen on the Mississippi River and Missouri rivers. At least that is what I am aware of, we may have them else where on big body lakes but I don't know that for sure. Thank you for the education and information.

I think after reading so much about them, I kept thinking to myself what the hell if I had bitten a finger, would I rip it off? How stupid ... But good as karma helped me

I honestly believe an animal knows when you are helping them, they might be afraid but understand somehow you are not going to hurt them.

We have California Gulls here in Utah.

They are generally less vicious than the ones I've met in, say, UK.
