Today about our second brain 🧠.
Cooperation following an accident
Before multicellular organisms emerged, it evolved a very peculiar creature. Unique because it absorbed some other life it came into contact with rather than "consuming" it and causing harm to it.
From a groundbreaking symbiosis, complex life developed.
The host came to depend on the numerous offspring of the devoured cells.
useful specialists, dispersed throughout the corners of human.
Today's topic is the flora of the digestive system.
In relation to living things from our tunnel's mouth to its end.
A shift in how we see the digestive system
I anticipate that science will make significant progress in the next years in figuring out how the microbiome affects us.
When asked how much is known about the digestive tract, a scientist/researcher with expertise in gastroenterology responded, "If you asked me five years ago, I would have said 10%, now I would say 2%."
The proverb from ancient Greece, "the more I know, the more I realize that I know nothing," comes to mind with each new piece of information. However, enough is already understood to be able to describe the fundamentals and explain in general terms.
The impact of our digestive systems on us
These microbes that digest things have a significant impact on carriers, according to scientific evidence. They have a direct impact on our wellbeing, thoughts, and looks. According to studies, our digestive system generates more happy chemicals than the brain itself.
It is widely believed that the bacteria and fungus in our bodies are present.
Consider this symbiosis from an non-human perspective.
One where these microorganisms do, in fact, have the carriage.
Human ecosystem that provides food.
Bacteria tug on the reins and the bridle on Your head 🐴🐎🏇
Our microbes cause us to seek for particular foods. When their demands are met, they reward with a sense of satisfaction.
It is an error in logic to assert that we digest food; in reality, microbes and fungi in our food supply carry out this function. They transform the food we consume into the raw ingredients and energy we require.
At the same time, there are numerous different strains of the organisms that make up our flora, which governs us.
The dominance of some of them raises a person's wellbeing over time. It can energise you, help you focus more clearly, make you feel lighter, or boost your immune system, among many other things.
Poor bacterial flora, digestive fungal hypertrophy, and the dominance of unfavorable strains have a significant impact on us:
physical issues (reflux, reflux, bloating, diarrhea, and constipation);
may have an impact on how severe food allergies are; The body becomes terribly acidified; Even the degree to which the body deposits fat can be determined by it.
I have only provided a small sample already proven examples, of the body and digestive system correlation's. I am confident that the list of the microbiome's effects on us is far longer, and more studies will continue to emerge in the future years to support this. I won't even touch on the impact on illnesses, disorders, moods, or mental patterns because it will be the subject of science in the future.

My exclusionary experiments
I've been experimenting with and changing my dietary habits for a long time.
Ten or so years ago, I had a really bad diet.
Lots of meats, fried foods, and sweets. 🍦🍔🍖
I didn't find vegetables to be particularly tasty, and when I did, I usually only chose potatoes. Even though the fruit was delicious, I had an inexplicable resistance to it.
When my weight reached a record high, I began making big changes.
I haven't had refined sugar in more than three years, excluding naturally occurring sugar present in fruit.
I made futile attempts to overcome this addiction for almost seven years.
During the initial years, whenever it was mentally more challenging for me, I attacked it head-on. Before my eyes, a type of fog was descending, and my desire for freedom was fading.
It appeared as though a ravenous demon junkie was haunting the body.
Today, I take a very meticulous approach, examining the contents of each can. Even on a poor day, I don't feel like eating this drug. I'm proud of the outcomes.
After years of avoiding sugar, I recall grimace when I took my final mouthful of Snickers. My teeth hurt, and the flavor was extremely strong and chemical. Without taking into account taste, I relate the sensation of sugar evaporating in my mouth with the absorption of white narcotics like cocaine.
An apple is another another illustration of how habits can change 🍎🍏
I used to eat one a month a year ago, but I never really liked it.
I'm fortunate that I recently moved in with a healer who specializes in body detoxification.
I squeeze at least a litre of apple juice every morning per his recommendation. The apple eventually became my favourite food after around three months of this practice. Now, a good apple makes me quake more than a Kinder Bueno did years ago. 💙
I've been trying to cut out flour for the past two months.
Sometimes in the middle of the night, I'll wake up thinking,
"Bread! I want bread!" 🍞
Even though I was aware that I didn't have any bread. There was one occasion when I got out of bed like a zombie and consciously searched the house for any.
It was an excellent experience.
Second brain is the digestive system and is deeply integrated with our sense of self. It helps to know how much it is not up to me what I want to eat. Whatever you crave for anything, it's actually the microbiome that generates that emotion.
Why diets fail
Every bacterial strain has a favorite meal.
They multiply more efficiently with some products than others.
You have a lot stronger appetite for anything when organisms that favor a particular kind of food predominate our bacterial ecology.
At the same hand, you're more likely to have a yuck effect if you never or infrequently consume a particular food type.
Diets typically include sudden, brief changes to our eating habits.
We are not currently satisfying the needs of our microbiome, thus it is typically exhausting and easy to snack on. Even if we consume "good" foods, such drastic and abrupt shifts are like a blow to the body.
According to my own experience, the most effective way to change your eating habits is to gradually reduce the number of unhealthy foods while steadily increasing the amount of food you wish to consume (healthy).
This is a long process. An adventure for years, transforming our lives.
You'll be able to overcome your cravings for unhealthy foods with the right guidance and some time. Healthy foods that currently strike you as unpleasant will soon become your favorite foods.
I didn't know the above knowledge a few years ago and was having trouble, I drastically cut out fat and sugar. Now I know could have taken easyer and longer approach.
Let me now reference an article from last year on sugar and fat and when they can be helpful versus when they turn into unhealthy, fattening goo.
It was often remarked that a meal in a traditional Silesian home is incomplete without potatoes or dumplings. Some claim that they cannot feel full without meat.
These people are speaking the genuine truth about their food flora, regardless what nutritionists or logical arguments claim.
In a similar manner, vegans publicly acknowledge that they find meat repulsive and that eggs smell to them.
Bacteria and fungi in the digestive system have habits.
Even if you eat something up and do not give your current microbiota what it is used to, the need to consume stuff you are used to will still be present.
Taste preferences and eating habits can be modified.
I serve as a living proof of this.
