There was a direct attack on the CommentCoin servers - does the competition want to eliminate us?
Hello dear community,
today at 4 o'clock in the morning (german time) the requests for our new website from CommentCoin exploded.
We had over 1900 requests in this hour. Nicely bundled to one direct minute.
Of course I got a call from a server technician at 4am, an e-mail and the server was switched to a different infrastructure.
The failover then took effect and we were put directly into "I'm under attack" mode.
Our servers are made for this.
We have made sure during the planning of the server farm and the server infrastructure that something like this will happen 1000% later (when our website is released).
If there is an attack, depending on the strength of the attack, it takes 10-20 minutes to get back online normally.
Activities of bots, as well database queries will of course still work.
For small attacks nothing will happen now, but for larger attacks we reserve the right to take legal action.
Smaller attacks on our web servers, databases and sending false activity will be detected by our artificial intelligence and the account of the affected user will be blocked.
So the end of the story was, the web server, a very small virtual machine was attacked and it was back online after 5 minutes.
All developments, Witness, Bot and database servers were accessible and working as usual.
Many greetings
