Finally my corner for music is almost finished!

Do you remember that in the last post I wrote at the end of January I talked about things that I had found and that would be part of my future system to listen to music? But first of all I want to show you the final result and then I'll talk about the process and everything else.

This is how my music corner is now.

Three months ago everything was this other way.

As you can see, the change is evident when viewing the two photos. The process between the two images has been a bit long but it has been worth it. Due to the conditions in which everything has been carried out, with a very low budget, things have turned out, not in the order as we had thought, but it is not that it has changed things much.

The first thing we did was empty the room and clean it well. this was a multi-day process. The second step, which was somewhat unexpected, was to bring my stuff from Germany to Italy. This step was accomplished by my girlfriend with the help of some friends. They organized a weekend trip to Germany in a van and on the way back they brought my things. Everything went perfectly well, except that, at that moment, the price of oil began to rise and the trip turned out to be a little more expensive than expected, but hey, these are things that happen.

With everything in the house in Italy already, the third step was to paint the entire roomand we did it ourselves. At first the idea was to paint everything white but my girlfriend came up with the wonderful idea of ​​painting a corner in blue.

We even put in new lights. We changed the old lamps for new ones, not only to save on electricity but also because the old lamps gave off cold light and the environment with warm light is definitely more welcoming. And these new lamps have three emitters that can be directed in different directions and even make the light more or less intense in each one separately.

The fifth step was to start organizing the music part as such. We bought a white Kallax cabinet similar to ona I have with four sections but with eight sections instead. The idea was that everything revolved around this two pieces of furniture.

It took a whole day to organize everything. The first thing was to assemble the two Kallax furniture and to put on the sound equipment and the record player. I had completely disassembled the record player so I had to put it back together, put the needle in, swing the arm and all the process that goes into putting a turntable back together. Later, obviously, I played on a record and we dedicated ourselves to putting the other records in their place, but already listening to music.

I must say that at some point just thinking about moving the entire collection from one country to another gave me a bit of fear. My records is one of the few material things that I really like and enjoy. And I like and enjoy not because they are a material thing, of course not, but because of the music inside of them and the memories tied to it.

As you can see, we are already quite advanced. There are still things we want to do in the room, things to add, and surely there will be things to change. For all this the title said "almost finished", it is still a work in progress. But I am also super proud of all the work that my girlfriend and I have done so far.

For now we don't know what the sixth step to follow will be, we have several ideas but... as has happened with the whole process from the beginning, life will decide what will be the next.
